Step 1 in Teaching Your Child About Money

#MoneyMondays is a series designed to help share some ideas, resources and enlightenment on one of the biggest areas of life…MONEY! Weather you love it or hate it’s inevitable.

Growing up my parents worked HARD. My father worked two jobs and was a full-time student at Wharton Business School. My mother was, and still is, an entrepreneur. She worked a regular job and always kept a side hustle.

I have made a commitment to my children that they will learn from a very early age what money is and how it is to be earned and allocated in their lives.

I chose this Tedx Talk with Ellen Rogin because it touches on a very important point we often overlook as parents when it comes to talking about money with our children. That is how we are unconsciously making impressions on our children about money. In this clip Ellen tells a very cute, yet eye-opening story about her first impression of work and money.

I hope you enjoy the video. Please check back in and follow along with the series. Let raise some financially literate trendsetters!
