Hip Hop Secret Fathers

In a world where attention is more valuable than gold it's interesting to see some of the biggest stars in Hip Hop keeping things secret. While some celebrity couples are selling their wedding photos to the highest bidder, we barley caught a glimpse of Jay -Z & Beyonce's private ceremony. More recently we've learned J Cole and Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino both have daughters. These cases weren't kept secret out of shame but out of protection of privacy. J Cole shared the news with the world on his album, ‘4 Your Eyez Only.’ On the track “She’s Mine, Pt. 2,” he raps bars like, “Reminisce when you came out the womb, tears of joy I think filled up the room/You are now the reason that I fight, I ain’t never did nothing that’s right in my whole life.” and “Am I worthy of this gift/am I strong enough to lift, into a place that I can see, someone more important than me?” The internet put 2 and 2 together in Donald Glover's case when they linked paparazzi photos of him and his pregnant girlfriend leaving a super market in Hawaii in January of 2016 to pics of the couple was spotted in NYC in May pushing a stroller. Both these guys, while super stars, are some of the most down to earth celebs you'll ever know. So it comes as no surprise that they'd opt to keep their private life private. There is also something endearing and respectable about their decision as fathers to do what they feel is in the best interest of their families. Also, the world is a cold place (J Cole world pun intended). We've seen the ridiculous gossip about Beyonce never caring her own pregnancy and the horrible comments about celeb kids being "ugly." You can see why people wouldn't want to subject their loved ones to that noise while trying to perform the most difficult task of their lives...PARENTING!
