A sneaker you ask? Yes! Sneakers are more than just footwear. It’s a billion dollar industry where fashion meets medicine, technology, marketing and eventually culture!
Quick story. Russell Simmons and his Rush Management team convinced an Adidas rep to attend a Run DMC concert at MSG. During their set the MCs stopped the music and asked the audience of 10s of thousands to hold up their Adidas. The lights hit the crowd revealing to the rep a stadium full of shell toe Adidas. This resulted in the 1st million dollar sneaker endorsement in hip hop and changed the sneaker industry FOREVER!
